So I a pretty good day at work today, I was shadowing James and starting to get a feel for some of the little things I was doing. Also good because James kinda puts whole sails together from panels so I got get a little better feel for the whole process. I didn't do much for the putting together, but because he works on smaller sails we got through 2 sails worth of....well basically finishing the final measurements and cuts on each edge. But he was good about explaining alot and asking me questions to make me think about what comes next so I'm getting better. I also decided to get a little notebook and start writing some things down and James wrote some important things down for me. I also spent the day writing down important Spanish terms that kept coming up, so at least I'm making an active effort.
James and his girlfriend were also nice enough to take me to the mall and basically got a phone for me. James had planed on going to get himself one but it was nice of them to bring me along. I'd never really spent any time around James' girlfriend but she seems really nice....kinda hard to tell for sure cause she doesn't speak English and I obviously speak no Spanish. It was kinda fun and I'm glad I finally have phone.
Well I think I'm gonna study my list of Spanish words a bit and head to bed....tomorrow...laundry day so I don't end up the smelly kid.
