Still no sign of the roommates but I wont let it stop me! I woke up at the obnoxious our of 1 pm today after staying up on the computer till like 5:30 or something and so I got up and did a little readin. Wasn't too long before I realized I was hungry and decided I have work tomorrow so I better enjoy today. So I changed and grabbed my book and headed for the beach.
I went to the slightly nicer one to check out the restaurant there but it was really crowded and I was a bit confused on where the hell to order and there were no empty tables. So after pacing around the place trying to figure it all out I gave up and walked to the water hungry. Luckily I noticed a smaller, less crowded place just up the beach so I headed there.
I can't read the menu that is written on a chalkboard cause it's in Catalan, of course, so I scratch my head thinking about how I'm going to extract some food from this place until I get hungry enough to just walk up and ask for "comida' (food). The guy was really nice about it and slowly went over some things in Spanish for me, he pointed out gazpacho which I know I like and then just said yes to "hamberguesa" which is simple enough. Hamberguesa is not actually a hamburger as one might think, its a hamburger patty, with a side of salad and fries. Not the lightest or most authentic beach meal but I was starving and it was good. The gazpacho was served in a small cup that I sipped and was really good and refreshing.
After getting some food I headed down to the beach to lay around and read my book. There was some notable people watching to be had. Most notably two older topless ladies with an accent I couldn't place who went swimming and I'm not sure what happened but one of them went wide-eyed and started screaming at the other one while she ran out of the water. There was a nice cool breeze and good sun and after about an hr I managed to finish my book so I figured it was time to head home.
On the way home I had planned on picking up some beer and food to replace what I've used here so far but apparently Sunday isn't a good day for the store, or maybe i just came too early. Either way they were close so I came back to the apt empty handed. However, no one is here right now anyway so it doesn't really matter one way or the other. So know what do I do?! No one home, no more book to read, and I'm pretty sure its still too early for the store....bla. Maybe a shower will give me new insight.
For anyone reading, I hope all is well back home, and I love you all!

Barrett!
So I have read everyone of your blogs! I still can't believe you're there!!! aaah! I leave in a week and I will be visiting you at some point towards mid July. But now we are leaving Amsterdam early so I will have two other people with me. Most likely we will be staying in a hostel, as I am sure there isn't much room and we don't want to impose.
Buuut anyway, it sounds like you are doing some amazing exploring and I guessed in that first blog that those 'tunnels' led to the beach!!! duuuh, I guess I have this beach signal that goes off! haha
Oh and always remember si, si, gracias! It works wonders! I am very impressed with your communicating skills and it makes me nervous because atleast you can speak some spanish and people can translate it for you to catalan or vice versa. OR you could always have inigo on speed dial! haha
Okay, now I am writing a book so I am going to go! Have fun!
My first comment! How exciting. Thanks for kind words....I knew they went to the beach too! :) Keep me posted on your travel plans, I think I get a bunch of time off at the end of July so that would be awesome if the times overlaped!...I'm just hopeing I don't miss you if my boss sends me off to deliver sails or something. Anyway keep in touch!
